Diogo Dalot has surfaced as a target for Roma and Jose Mourinho, his former head coach.
Before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure in November, the Manchester United defender has struggled for playing time.
Dalot has started the last two games at Old Trafford, both of which have ended in victory over Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
Mourinho, on the other hand, is still looking for a reunion with the full-back he recruited for United from Porto in 2018.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mourinho has informed Roma's technical director Tiago Pinto that Dalot should be considered a top target in January. The 22-year-old has previous experience in the Italian top division, having spent the 2020-21 season on loan with AC Milan.
While Dalot seemed to fade away under Solskjaer, it's possible that he'll find a new lease on life under Rangnick.
On Sunday, he was selected ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right back, making his second consecutive start for United after only making four substitute appearances this season.
Dalot's current contract at Old Trafford runs until 2023, after he signed a five-year agreement in 2018.
